Brief Description

Pokhara International Airport is situated at Chhinedanda, Pokhara Metropolital city, Kaski, Gandaki Province, Nepal. It is approximately 2.5 KM east of Pokhara’s Existing Domestic Airport and 200 Kms far west from capital city of Nepal. The Elevation of this airport is around 803.89 meters above mean sea level.

 Pokhara is the most popular tourist destination of the Country. This airport serves as main gateway for the pilgrims and the tourists to travel the famous religious place, Muktinath, Jomsom and Annapurna Round Trek as well. The Pokhara valley itself offers picturesque looks of Machhapuchhre, Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Mountain, beautiful lakes like Phewa, Rupa and Begnas and deep gorges, falls and caves.

 The airport is expected to handle one million passengers per year. Runway of  Pokhara International Airport is of ICAO 4D Category and is 45 metres wide and 2500 metres long, and runway designation is 12-30. Runway 12 has Non Precision Approach (NPA) and Runway 30 has ILS System Precision Approach CAT-1 (PA1) facility. The airport has three international parking bays and eight domestic parking bays. The largest type of aircraft expected  to use the airport is B737 series and similar aircraft types. Operation of the airport is expected to be a milestone as the airport will accommodate additonal flight making connectivity easier and play an eminent role in the unprecedented economic development of the region.
